Mike Mahoney

Mike MahoneyA private baseball instructor since 1992, Mike spent the 2000-2003 seasons in the Chicago Cubs system, making his Major League debut at Wrigley Field in 2000. He spent parts of 3 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals during their 2005 National League Championship run. Mike won best defensive catcher in the Carolina League in 1997 and ended his major league career with an amazing .991 fielding percentage. Mike was recognized by his peers as a strong armed catcher with outstanding fundamentals and very good power to opposite field. Mike also served as player/coach for the Iowa Cubs in 2007 and is an excellent student of the game.
